Healdsburg Floor Coverings

My wife first went down to the Healdsburg flooring company and met with Travis. Travis showed my wife different flooring options and colors, and everything was great. Then my wife and I met with Tim to finalize a date and cost, and it was all perfect so far. We set a date for installation and arranged a storage pod to store some of the furniture. Tim clarified that it would take 12 to 14 days and that they would probably need to move out in the last week for the sanding process. The day before the scheduled start date, and with no storage pod yet, someone knocked on our front door to begin the process; however, it wasn’t Healdsburg Flooring Company—it was K1 Flooring Company. To their credit, K1 Flooring and its owner, Greg Knoop, were outstanding; Greg was a true professional from start to finish, and we appreciated his commitment and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we were not prepared for a crew to show up a full day early, but my wife and I did our best to accommodate them. What bothered us most was that Tim never informed us he would subcontract to K1 Flooring—just one example of the poor communication we experienced from him. Overall, the floors turned out beautifully, except for a few dark areas on the steps leading up to the main floor. We shared our concerns with Greg, who promptly contacted Tim from Healdsburg Flooring to inspect the issue. Tim later emailed us, insisting that everything was perfect and claiming he couldn’t control the wood grain. Additionally, Tim never explained that we would need to replace or paint the damaged baseboards, leaving us with unexpected work to address. Greg did offer to try to lighten the dark areas. Thank you, Greg. When my wife and I met with Tim to discuss our concerns, the conversation quickly deteriorated. He accused my wife of lying, claiming she had received a phone call about the early start, which never happened. When we brought up the issue of damaged baseboards and the need for painting, Tim became defensive and downright rude, insisting, "We're a flooring company; we don’t do paint or fix baseboards." His unprofessional conduct during this exchange was both shocking and extremely disappointing. This conversation could have been so easy; however, we didn’t know Tim had a very short temper. We realize unforeseen things happen, and it’s the way people handle the situation to make things right. Tim offered to reimburse us for the painting cost; however, at this point, we wanted nothing to do with Tim or Healdsburg Flooring Company. We left Tim’s office, confused and shocked, by his disrespect toward us as paying customers. We would definitely recommend K1 Flooring; however, I would never use Healdsburg Flooring Company again or recommend them. Not one time during the 14 day process did we every here from Healdsburg Flooring company or Tim.

We had a fantastic experience working with Travis from Healdsburg Flooring. We met with him several times and each visit he took his time explaining various flooring options and helping us to select samples to view in our home. This greatly helped us to decide which flooring would work best with pets while still giving us the look we desired. Travis is personable, knowledgable and up to date on trending flooring. His installers were also a delight to work with. We ordered our flooring a couple of months in advance and Travis made sure our install started and finished as scheduled. The installers, as well as Travis, worked seamlessly with other trades to ensure the flooring went in on time. We couldn't be happier!

We're returning customers. Our solid maple floors and wool carpets are spectacular. They know the flooring business. This made selecting products easy. Pricing for the flooring we selected was competitive and fair. The installation team were pro's. Now, we're back looking a tiles for a bathroom remodeling. Give them a call. You won't be disappointed.
