Every contractor must hold an active CSLB license (C-10 Electrical, C-20 HVAC, C-36 Plumbing, or C-39 Roofing), carry minimum $1M general liability insurance, pass background checks, and maintain a 4.5+ star customer rating. We verify licenses and insurance annually and remove contractors who fall below our standards.

Yes. Our contractors pull all necessary permits and schedule required inspections as part of their service. Permit costs are included in project quotes, and all work meets California building codes and Title 24 energy standards.

Absolutely. Our SMUD-service-area contractors are experienced with rebate-qualifying installations and handle all rebate paperwork. Current SMUD rebates include up to $3,000 for heat pump HVAC and up to $4,000 for heat pump water heaters.

All work performed through our network comes with contractor warranties (typically 1–2 years on labor, manufacturer warranties on parts). If an issue arises, contact us and we'll coordinate with the contractor to resolve it. We also help mediate disputes and can connect you with alternative contractors if needed.
