Cascade Windows - Cornerstone Building Brands

Cascade, like every other manufacturer is having problems getting materials to complete their products. It also doesn’t help that no one wants to work , so the turn over in their labor force has to add to the long lead times and back orders. But I think their main problem is incompetent people running the production and shipping. Incomplete orders being delivered with no screens. What are you going to do with 10 out of 14 windows, except make excuses to the contractor that has trusted you to complete his project. Believe me I deal with it every day. They really need to look over their production and shipping better. Their product is remarkably good for the price you pay and the warranty is one of the best. I’m hoping that once this wirld gets back to it was before the pandemic Cascade will rebound and address all the issues in the blog. I keep telling their drivers the Csscade should have a logo on their trailers the says “ Cascade Windows Always One Time, No Matter How Long It Takes”!

Not sure if zero stars would register. This nightmare has gone on for more than two years with our Amerimax installer here in Arizona going out of business, Amerimax claiming that the windows were sound in spite of water, dust and dirt blowing in through the windows (not the seems or the caulking - flooding in the windows) and dust settling on the inside glass. The dust emitting sliding windows were eventually replaced with casement windows, but I have double hung windows that have bowed middle rails that have still not been replaced. There are two windows sitting in my garage ready to be installed, but no one to do the work. Amerimax recognizes that there is a problem, but are willing to do only the bare minimum to fix it. Send windows. There is no help with finding an installer and now they are no longer returning calls. Their vinyl windows are not appropriate for Arizona heat. They melt in the hot Arizona sun -- at least 3 have required replacement. Double hungs and sliding windows cannot keep out the Arizona dust. Three have been replaced when they failed during wind/dust storms. Amerimax has ONE technician covering the CA/AZ area and it takes weeks for him to get here when there is a complaint -- that's assuming they will even call you back. I requested a call because my husband passed away leaving 2 windows in a wooden case in my garage. I have no idea what the agreement was for replacing them and Amerimax won't call me back and tell me. Bob Randolf actually picked up my call then hung up on me. You do NOT want to do business with these people.

I have been in the glass and window business for nearly half of a century. I have dealt with and sold several different window products over that period of time. My favorite was a company called Empire Pacific Industries or EPW that was purchased in 2012 by Cascade Windows so as they were continuing to make the same product I had sold for years I did business with Cascade Windows for unfortunately nearly 10 years! In all those decades I have never seen a company as consistently poor in the quality of the product, consistency of their deliveries or poor service and communication. The final straw was when I ordered the screens for a new home builder and they shipped them to the wrong jobsite and then told me that they weren't on the truck. This lead to several (13) weeks of postponements and ended up costing me in excess of $2400 and a very good client. To add to that I heard that they omitted the product line I sold, the Empire Series, and also their top of the line Cascade Series and now only make the cheapest product line that I wouldn't sell as it was made so cheaply that it probably wouldn't meet the forced entry requirements here in California. I would most definitely go to almost any other brand.
