Innovo Builders

Innovo Builders did a fantastic major re-model of our Palo Alto house. They tore off roofs, enlarged french doors into folding-out doors, re-did 4 bathrooms and the kitchen, and all the windows and doors and flooring. The price was good, especially for the high quality of work. What we appreciated most was the style of communication: they did not bother us when things were going fine, but pro-actively surfaced concerns and issues. A couple of examples were when they realized the architect's bathroom shower location would not be private enough, and when they realized we probably wouldn't like the flooring we had ordered and helped us find a better option. We also really appreciated that Innovo Builders was very trustworthy in their work and billing. While we interacted most with the principal John Montoya, we had many small interactions with various people on his team, and were delighted at how helpful and friendly and effective they were when you raised issues or requests with them.

My husband and I worked with Innovo Builders to complete a renovation in Burlingame. John and his team did a truly fantastic job. We were impressed by how organized they are. Everything was clearly broken down from us from the cost of materials to the change orders. John’s team was very diligent to get the project completed. The finished product is absolutely beautiful. No detail was left unnoticed. I think that a picture speaks 1000 works and I’ve included a few here. This team is a fantastic choice for your home renovation.

My husband is a civil engineer who has managed large construction projects. He does not give compliments to contractors easily. So it is significant that he told me that he felt John Montoya and his crew were great. John told us initially that our bathroom remodel would take six weeks, and it was finished in six weeks! We feel John's men did quality work, they were very polite, and they cleaned up their workspace. John used technology to keep on top of the project - he installed a small camera so he could follow the progress and he provided us a dashboard for communications. He responded promptly to any communication requests, even responding to texts late at night. One important issue to us was saving the mirror, light fixture and cabinet. The cabinet had to be removed to do the tile, and I was afraid the mirror would be broken. If the mirror broke, the wall would have to be resurfaced and the light fixture replaced. I was very pleased the crew removed the cabinet without damage to it or the mirror! After they painted the cabinet it looked new! We are very pleased and highly recommend John Montoya and Innovo Builders.
