AJ Window Shades and Beyond

We love our new sunroom, however in the afternoon to evening the sun was making it hard to use the room in the late afternoon. We were using outdoor shade cloth to help cut down on the glare. Ricky at AJ Window Shades had some good ideas and suggested three different shade options at various price points. We went with two upper shades that are motorized so we don't have to get a ladder to open and close them. The unusual shape of the shades for these windows was also resolved nicely as they fold like a fan very easily and look seamless when open too. The bottom shades we saved money by opting for manual system. Ricky also let us use the sample book and it took a long time to decide but we went for a pop of color with a light green shade. Ricky also coordinated with our sunroom installer to get advice on where to mount the new shades. The installation went very smoothly and were up in no time. We are happy we went with a professional solution for our sunroom and would work with AJ Windows and Shades in the future.

I had an incredible experience with Ricky getting ~ 20 window shades designed and installed. He was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, EASY to work with, and knowledgeable. I think he probably came to our house no fewer than 10x over the course of two months, dropping off samples, temporary shades, taking measurements, bringing in floor samples, dropping off batteries, etc. I think he potentially drafted 6 separate quotes for us as well. Despite the high-touch nature of what we were trying to get done, he was always so incredibly willing to take the time to help. Also - bonus - we absolutely love our shades - they look fantastic and better than I expected. Thank you, Ricky!!

After our Hunter-Douglas shade broke, I look for a place to repair it and found AJ window shades - a newer business operating at the same location where we had bought those shades. Ricky was fantastic - he came to our house on a weekend, took the shades, got them fixed in about a week, and reinstalled them, all at a very reasonable price. I couldn’t have asked for better service!
