Remarkable Home Remodeling

Virgil and his team did a FANTASTIC job remodeling our roof deck that was in pretty bad shape. We absolutely love everything about it, from the custom railing to the sleek modern pergola. The lighting at night is beautiful (the wall wash lighting is on a temporary base as I will eventually stake them into a planter). The french doors are perfect. I included some before photos to highlight how much of a transformation this was. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, and it's added so much functional space for us to enjoy.

Virgil is organized, personal, and accommodating. He responds quickly and communicates all along the way. He listened to exactly what I wanted and made it happen. His team are craftsman! Thank you for my elegant and feminine pink bathroom!

Honestly, I cannot give enough praise to Virgil and his crew. I grew up in this house. My mom and dad bought it 60 years ago. Our badly neglected 100 year old house presented some unique challenges, to say the least. From repairing extensive structural water damage to preserving the architectural features while modernizing and beautifying the home, Virgil and crew more than rose to the occasion. Virgil works with true craftsman. The project was huge! One aspect was structural damage on the front wall from decades of undetected water intrusion behind brick. The brick is antique, unique and not replaceable. I was told by another contractor that they would use miss matched brick and by yet another to remove all the brick and replace with siding. I wanted the brick taken down, cleaned and replaced. Virgil said, "I've got the guy". And the result is, it looks untouched. The bathroom.. rebuilt from the joists up, where there was previously just a gutted space. All galvanized and cast iron plumbing replaced, the jumbled insufficient wiring straightened out. Mouldings and baseboards were harvested from closets to replace what was needed to keep integrity. Oak floor boards were taken up in the entry to replace flooring in the hall, all hand fitted and making a perfectly smooth transition to the slate floor in the bathroom. The kitchen, breakfast room and laundry makeover is amazing! Updated, beautiful, functional but still keeping a vintage feel. The fence and gates are really lovely, too! There is more we had done, but this is getting long. Quality workmanship, quality materials, quality people for sure! Did I mention all this was done in about 7 weeks?! Crazy! Sure there were some things that arose but these guys figured out the solutions. My hat's off to Energy Savings Construction!
