Fire & Water Damage recovery did a great job remediating my unit after an upstairs leak in my condo. They were prompt, professional communicators, responded to all my questions, and kept me in the loop on the status of the job throughout. While professional mold remediation is not "cheap", they follow industry standards and I believe they price their work fairly. They sent me a comprehensive bid at the start of the project and stayed within that budget.

Had a small leak (1 bathroom and small hallway) when doing renovations that went down to the neighbors house. Building HOA recommended FWD Recovery because they've used them before; considering my neighbor's situation, I obliged as it was a Friday evening leak. Confirmed with my neighbor the extent of the work performed as I received a bill claiming almost 18 hours of labor about $2K... I reached out to get clarification what the hours incurred related to and received no visibility into the work performed and was just told essentially, that it's based on timecards and "it's not made up"... I ran my own calculations based on the work that was performed and observed by my neighbor and came out to about less than half of that... The labor was as such per my neighbor: Day 1: 45min initial response, set up, mapping etc - include drive time of about 1h since emergency call. Let's add another 30m to load the truck as well (5 fans and 2 dehumidifiers). x2 people (4.5 hrs vs 8 hrs at a rate of $142.99 per hour) Day 3: 2.5 hours, monitoring and ducting. x2 people Day 7: 1 hour to pick up equipment and go. x1 person (6 hrs vs 9.5 hrs at a rate of $95.23 per hour). Total difference: $785.69 Dollars of unexplained "Labor" charges that weren't "made up."

Fire & Water Damage Recovery were a pleasure to work with. The team's response time was quick. The project manager Justin and his team's communication, knowledge, and transparency made a stressful situation way easier to manage. Their adherence to timelines made it easy to coordinate the auxiliary work that comes with water damage. The actual remediation work was fast and the team provided pictures for every step of the the process. Chrissa the project coordinator did a great job managing the scheduling and made the invoice and payment process easy. Pricing was reasonable for the high quality of work performed. The invoice is fully itemized and transparent (down to the detail of consumables like filters, etc). I hope to never have water damage again, but if I did I'd go straight back to Fire & Water Damage Recovery.
