Our home is on a two acre parcel with approximately one acre of heavily vegetated steep hillside which is covered with dozens of oaks along with other less desirable fire prone trees such as bays. The job included the removal of the fire prone trees, trimming up the low oak tree branches and removing the ladder fuel under brush, shrubs, and dead and fallen trees. The equipment Chris and his crew use is amazingly quick and efficient and perfectly designed for the fire prevention work. Chris maneuvers the massive rubber track grinder equipment carefully up and down the steep hillside through the maze of oaks to grind down into the ground as mulch all removed materials, leaving a park-like, clean, fire-resistant oaked setting. Much more work was done in a shorter time span, for a better price, and with better results, than could possibly have been performed using traditional vegetation removal methods. Most appreciated is that Chris and his hardworking crew are great to work with and completed the scope of work (and more) in the timeframe promised. I have about 3/4 acre of fairly steep downward sloping land located just beyond the minimum required defensible space behind our home. It was full of brush, half dead trees, thorny berry vines, poison oak, and branches from the neighbors trees touching the ground all along one fence. Vegetation Management Services gave me a quote considerably higher than the price indicated on their website, I'm guessing because of the steep terrain and the need for a ground crew to support the Forestry Mulching operation. They were able to schedule the work within about a week of my first contacting them. They mulched everything we asked them to on the entire lot in about 5 hours! I am delighted with their service! Any other tree service would easily have charged several times what I paid and could not possibly have ground all the material to mulch in that period of time. These guys showed up early, started doing thorough checks of all of their equipment, and then got right to business. No lounging around, just straight to work. Professional, polite, efficient, and highly effective! Hat's off to this crew! They have the right equipment and the experience and knowledge to get the job done right!

Chris did a great job creating defensible space around our property in Glen Ellen. His machine is truly amazing and does more in a day than a team of 6 guys with chainsaws and chippers. He gave us a fair bid and did everything we discussed and took care of a few additional areas that were uncovered in the process. We will absolutely be using him again.
