I really hate giving a bad review to a small business. I also owned my own business, & I know how unfair reviews can be. In 2018, Brazil replaced our roof, & installed 30 new solar panels with a 30 year warranty. On 2/19/20 (that’s right, 6 years ago) we told Brazil the Enphase monitoring system Brazil also sold us, said the solar system wasn’t working. After 5 years of complaining to Brazil, We reported Brazil to the State Contractors Licensing Board. Only then, did Brazil inspect the solar system. Brazil said 3 panels were out, & we needed to contact the warranty company, Certain Teed. This is not what they told us when they installed their $30,000 solar system. Brazil originally told us we had a 30 year warranty, & we only needed to contact Brazil. Begrudgingly, Brazil agreed to file a warranty claim for 3 solar panels. But of course the problem isn’t as simple as 3 solar panels. The Enphase monitoring system reported the entire system stopped producing power for 4 years. SMUD confirmed there was no power produced. So now it’s not just 3 solar panels, it’s now, who’s going to compensate us for nearly $20,000 in lost solar production? In December 2025 Brazil said they had the new panels & were ready to fix the system. Months go by, & they never showed up. Amazingly, after 6 years of complaining, the warranty company finally contacted us for the first time in March 2026. This is after Brazil told us they finally had all the parts & were ready to go, the warranty company said they didn’t have the parts. Now they say they will only pay $495, as a prorate for one panel, not 3 panels. Of course Brazil no longer responds. Google asked for any more information I might have regarding this review? 30 year solar warranty’s are worthless. The California Insurance Commission, & Consumer Affairs are useless. The BBB & the Contractor’s Board can’t help. California Elder financial abuse laws with triple damages are pointless. California pushed homeowners to install solar, and now does nothing to help homeowners with all the bankruptcies & fraud. SMUD is now pushing solar batteries with rebates. Now that I know what to look for, it’s just another scam. When you add in all the taxpayer rebates for sketchy solar systems that don’t work as long as promised, it’s apparent that somebody is getting rich off of this solar boondoggle, & it ain’t the homeowners or taxpayers.

Had these guys out for a roof inspection as I feared it was about time for some repairs or a replacement. To my surprise, there was no sales pitch or exaggerated reports. They showed me the areas to keep an eye on and said to have it inspected every year and I’ve probably got a few years left in it. I appreciate the integrity and we Will definitely be using them when it is time.

Several years ago (2017) we were searching for a roofing company to educate us on the type of roofing and the best application for our home. The knowledge and professional approach with a very detailed bid captured our attention and business over other companies. Our job was completed in a timely matter, with outstanding craftsmanship and cleanup. Over the years we have needed help from Brazil with the solar being installed on a tile roof, inspections, tile replacement, and recommendations. Our most recent inspection was last week , March 24, 2025. As with all of our inspections/needs Brazil provided just the right person to assist us. The company is very professional and provides quality products and workmanship. I highly recommend them for any type of roofing job!
