I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience with Smart Build Construction. I paid for services that were not delivered as agreed. Despite several attempts to resolve the matter directly with the owner of Smart Build Construction, no meaningful solution has been provided. Communication has been inconsistent, and the issue still remains unresolved. Customers deserve clear communication, ethical business practices, and accountability when payment has been accepted. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Smart Build Construction. Please proceed with caution and make sure you have everything documented before engaging with this company.

Go somewhere else. This was the worst experience we had in remodeling our house in the past five years. We called an Abe came out and he seemed nice and reliable. When we first signed the contract. He didn’t start the work for six months after the contract was signed, stating that there was too much rain that season. He started the work the week of a big storm that was getting ready to come in. I relied on his experience that the job would be done in a timely fashion and the roof if it did rain. He hires a subcontractor to do the work. It’s not his own company. You should know that before signing. The subcontractors came and tore the old roof off and all the underlying wood and prepared the surface for the new roof. They laid the tar paper out and then left on a Friday afternoon as they were leaving aren’t you gonna tarp the roof and they yelled back? We already did. Wow they did not and the next day it poured and we had nothing but leaks for four hours maybe five. Water leaked in and soaked areas of our den ceiling the bedroom, which got the bed, wet and the floor on the sliding glass door to the back, which warped the floor And leaking into the dining room through the ceiling fan we took out all our big pots and pans from the kitchen and we’re constantly filling and emptying pots full of water, we must’ve emptied at least 5 gallons of water that leaked into the house Abe did not respond all day to our call instead he sent one of his subcontractors over to troubleshoot the problem. He showed up about two hours three hours after we called, but by then the damage was already done, and then he decided to tarp the roof where it was leaking. What a joke so we just recently replaced the ceilings and there was mold on the acoustic tiled ceilings and other places which I’m glad we replaced because we were smelling mold which is very bad. I’ve reached out to Abe several times to give me a call or a text back. He is unresponsive. He just demonstrates poor Customer Service and poor communication skills. If I were you, I wouldn’t hire this company look somewhere else even though it might be a little more money I’m still regretting hiring this company and considering a small claims court suit to retrieve some of the money that we’re spending on replacing our ceilings. My wife has pictures in a documented the leaking so we are well documented if that’s the case I’m hoping he responds but if he doesn’t, I’m gonna take the next step that’s it, I’m done.
