Appreciate this place is right in Fairfax and an easy go to when I need some hardware. Could be me and the level of questions I ask because I wanna get my project right, and I often find the staff are annoyed and dismissive with me. Bummed me out today when an older staff member was frustrated with and openly berating a young kid working there. It’s all relative so I don’t know the whole story. Also, must have balance in a review ;) there are numerous beings that work there that are always nice and very helpful. I will continue to shop here for small projects 🌻🐝.. .
Great local hardware store. Plenty in stock and love the old school feeling. One star off because when I walked in, even though there was 2 people behind the desk, neither offered help. When I asked for help he acted bothered and annoyed that I would ask him where plumbing was. His reply was "That way." I would still go back but if there was another hardware store in the vicinity, I may go there instead.
I love this place! Ok, I love hardware stores. It's got just about everything you'll need (no it's NOT home despot, which has its place in the annuals of hardware stores.) They have a lovely garden section with great help, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable (Ask for Peter.) They always have great seasonal selections as well as vegetable starter plants. Plus they always have good holiday decorations and inspiration. Their crew is a bit eccentric, which I think is a plus!
