I normally do not write reviews, but when appreciation is justified, I will take the time to share it. We noticed a little frass by our kitchen pantry door, and when I pulled back the wood trim of the door, yuk! termites! This is when a homeowner panics! I knew that we would need professional help, so I waded through the listings of available pest control operators and decided on Big Time Pest Control, being a company that is NorCal local, and not too small but not national big. My phone call routed me to Brittany, the termite specialist, who was friendly and jumped into action. Amazingly, she said there was an available time slot that day, the same day that we were in a severe Winter storm and blizzard warning in our area. I said that we can wait, but she assured me that she can get an inspector up despite the storm. I was soon greeted by Joe and Marty, the inspectors, and I was totally impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. I soon learned all about how termite colonies work, and how your home is just part of the meal plan for the larger needs of the entire colony. Wow, I had no idea how vulnerable our mountain home was! But to our relief, Joe explained that it really was not the end of the world, and that there are treatment options readily available to stop the damage and prevent further infestation. And even more amazingly, Joe said that there was a technician in our area that was just wrapping up another home, and could be here shortly, despite the blizzard warnings, to begin treatments. Again, we were soon greeted by Mo, the field technician. And again, I was totally impressed by the professional care that Mo gave in applying the treatments, which required a bore hole into the concrete slab floor. He did a great job with the task and left us with the assurance that a cure to the infestation has already gone to work. All in all, we made the initial phone call in the morning, had an action plan by early afternoon, and had begun treatments by mid afternoon, all during a Winter storm event. Now that is service!
