Nicholas Quality Painting

Total lack of detail, would never hire this company again. For some reason here on Google they call themselves Nicholas Quality Painting but their license with the CSLB is under the name Norniko professional painting. I will add more pictures and details at a later date. Be sure to read the details of the contract to ensure it is what was discussed. Also for liability reasons be sure that everyone performing work is listed under the company's insurance. You can verify any company's information (who is insured to work for a company) through the California state licensing board- check a license. Here is a list of things that I have issue with: 1) Reinstall house number removed when painting trim. Found out later that they broke the numbers and never replaced them but they said nothing I had to ask! 2) Reassemble back hall window that was taken apart and left in pieces. They were the only contractor working in the space yet they say they were not because another contractor came up to use the bathroom. The other contractor would have no reason to randomly take apart a hall window. 3) Paint missing on Front & back door exterior as stipulated in contract. 4) Caulk and touch up paint in 2nd smaller upstairs bathroom gaps along the crown molding. 5)they did not Remove both bathroom vent covers, clean and repaint. They were painted with dirt/dust on them. 6)  door lock jamb plates have gone missing for mechanical foor locks. 7) Replace GFCI outlet in kitchen that was painted over. Not just clean, it was compromised as soon as it was sprayed with a liquid/paint. Ask an electrician! 8) paid extra for this and it was not done!Finish patch fill of 1/4 round on in front bedroom baseboard that I paid extra to have patched/fixed. 9) bathroom built in shelf needs alot of caulking and touch up. Door of cabinet also over painted and will not close properly now. 10) Back stairs were repainted the wrong  color and too thick of a coat was applied. The translucent azure of the paint that allows visibility of the wood grain is lost when too thick of a coat is applied. 11) Exposed me to liability by having non insured employees. 12) closet shelving Removed and not put back or painted in 2 bedrooms. 13) outlet cover plates put back broken, dirty and with worng sheetrock screws. 14) sheetrock/drywall job incomplete. How can you say that your contract included only one half the side of a wall that requires drywall on both side to be fire compliant! Makes no sense! 14.5) Old light removed and discarded like trash! I had planned to reuse these lights! 15) I have a very ill wife so I have been unable to monitor their work closely. They took $1000 of my bill but it wont come close to covering everything left undone and leaves me with incomplete work and no time to hire another person to correct. Total disaster!

We recently bought a house and our closing process took more that expected. So after closing we had little time left to get our house painted but luckily we found Nicolas who made it posible for us to move in our new home with the lovely smell of fresh paint. He was very professional and paid attention to detail and most importanly he is a man of his word by completing an excellent work in a really short amount of time.
