GB Group Construction & Painting

Our HOA hired this company. Recently, they have been fined by the EPA, and had an employee die falling off a ladder as safety precautions were not followed. Our personal experiences with this company are the tree fell in February of 2024, and they still do not have the permit currently now in January of 2025. We have had continual water intrusion and very unprofessional treatment from their staff. We fear the work they will do assuming it ever gets underway. Go with a different contractor.

GB Group performed a large balcony repair project at our Condo Complex in 2023. The site clean-up of our outdoor living areas was abysmal. We saw no evidence of tarps put down to protect soil/garden beds, so we were left with construction debris, (nails, wire, plastic packaging, labels, tarpaper, tape, screws, fasteners, wood, spackling, masonry) imbedded in our garden planting areas. We found paint splotches, solder, and spackling in common areas, on plants, in plant beds, driveways, landings, and walkways. Some plants were injured by ladders and tools that were stored in the planting beds. Our grounds were left in an extremely unsightly condition and worse than when G.B. Group's project started. We were promised that this would be addressed; it was not. The photos you see are a quick 5-7 minute "clean up" at each of the garden beds, in the 7 buildings in our Complex. Using no tools, I collected what you see in the attached photos. As a shareholder in this Condominium Complex, I don't consider this "exceptional service". I truly hope that the "legacy of excellence, a forward-thinking vision, and a “Service First” commitment" will be evident in the workmanship that was performed, and that the lack of clean up of our site is not indicative of the overall quality of the work. Update: 12/24 GB group has been called back to our Condo Complex a year later, because of apparent flashing installation issues contributing to water intrusion on balconies. Their work is as messy as it was last year 12/23. As a consumer, I can't say I recommend this company.

Our HOA needed termite/dry rot wood repairs. GB Group VP sent an excellent team: they started, worked steadily, and completed the job timely and professionally, no dramas, no commotions, no messes at the job site. My highest compliments on the work ethics and skills of the team.
