I ordered a bulk rock delivery from this business, I asked to purchase in tons but was told they only sell by volume. This should have been the first red flag as that's not standard practice (and volume can't easily be verified, like weight can, with a scale slip). On delivery day, they required me to sign the receipt before they arrived at my house, and before I could inspect the delivery - second red flag. The delivery went well, but the amount delivered was far short of what I ordered—only about 50–55% of the correct volume. I measured the rock in a clearly defined rectangular area designed for a 12" depth. The delivered rock filled only about 6½", leaving a 5½" shortfall, which makes it easy to verify that the order was roughly half complete. I called the business to explain the issue, thinking there might have been a mix-up. They confirmed that my original volume calculations were correct—but still insisted their delivery was accurate. I even offered detailed photos showing the measurements. Their only response was to offer a small discount on a second delivery—meaning I’d have to pay another $600+ to receive the full amount I already paid $850 for. Buyer beware: bulk deliveries from this company may fall dramatically short of what you pay for. I’m very disappointed by how this was handled and cannot recommend this business.

I was lucky to meet the owner today. It was a holiday and the business was closed yet I noticed a company pickup by the office. I open the gate and walked up to see if they were open. I met the owner who is one of the best honest down to earth men I will ever met. We talked for over and hour about our family and kids. This business is solid. If you are ever looking for materials to build at your home please use this business. It will go toward the family and employees who work very hard.

So these guys are awesome. One of the only places to get concrete one yard at a time in the East Bay but no reason to go anywhere else. Friendly, dependable service. Pricing right in line with what you’d expect.
