We hired Mission Landscaping to install a new Belgard paver system, add new wildfire irrigation valves/lines, and to install new plants. The owner was extremely misoginistic and difficult to work with. More importantly, the pavers were not installed to manufacturer specifications, with Mission Landscaping failing to install bedding sand below the pavers for stability, sweeping polymeric sand into our stormwater drains, failing to properly compact the pavers. and overwetting the sand which resulted in the substance bubbling up from the paver cracks and covering our yard with a glue like substance. In addition, they damaged a neighbor's sewer line, covering up the damage with duct tape. The crew also carelessly cut an oak trees root system. The owner signed a progress payment contract then attempted to renegotiate contract terms to ontain payment for work that had not been completed. He engaged in character assassination, failed to install irrigation lines in the correct location, failed to follow NDS linear drain installation isntructions, and allowed concrete dust mixed with water to spill over 100 sq. foot area of soil which hardened into a concrete layer. The owner and his son repeatedly lied about their project commitments and left the site with trash and leftover materials. I would think twice about hiring this company. They have no integrity and defend all their actions with, "we have been doing work this way for over 30 years."
