Marco Ramirez Hardwood Floor

This was, without question, the most frustrating and disappointing experience I've ever had with a home improvement project. Everything below is based on what I personally saw during the installation inside my own home. Right from the start, basic flooring practices were not being followed. The installer wasn't using ANY spacers. I had to stop the job, leave the house, and buy multiple bags of spacers myself. What shocked me even more was that Marco openly told me they don't use spacers at all. I could not believe a flooring company would actually admit that. Even after I supplied the spacers, they were used inconsistently and--based on what I watched--incorrectly. As a result, the floor developed visible gaps everywhere. A large number of plank ends were not tapped together properly. Many gaps were large enough for me to see the underlayment. When I pointed this out, the Marco only acknowledged the most extreme cases and insisted the rest were 'normal.' Standing there looking at it myself, it absolutely did not look normal. In my opinion as the homeowner, the majority of these gaps should never have existed in the first place. The perimeter expansion spacing was also not done correctly, despite my very clear instructions for a 1/4" gap. After the installation, I found boards pushed directly against the wall in multiple places, with other areas showing inconsistent spacing. This was the opposite of what I requested. There was also preventable damage to my home during the installation. After the flooring boxes were dragged around, I found fresh dents and scuff marks on my walls that were not there before. Walls that I just had retextured and painted. On top of that, the installer plugged a refrigerator into one of my outlets to keep drinks cold, and when it was moved later, the outlet was ripped partially out of the wall. That turned into yet another repair I had to handle myself. The most serious issue for me was learning afterward that the planks were glued together in a way that makes the floor almost impossible to repair. Every flooring professional I spoke with told me the same thing: because the boards were glued together, repairs aren't realistically possible. If I try to remove even a single plank, it will be damaged and unusable afterward. Because of this, I now have to live with the fact that the only way to fix these issues is a complete tear-out and replacement at some point. For me as a homeowner, that means going through another full construction project inside my home--something I never expected right after paying for a new floor. What makes it even worse is knowing how disruptive it will be: all our furniture and belongings will need to be moved around again, and we'll have to deal with the noise, dust, and chaos of another major installation. I was hoping to have everything finished before we moved in, but now it looks like the replacement will have to happen while we're actually living there. This review reflects only what happened inside my home, but based on everything I personally witnessed, I would strongly urge others to be extremely cautious before hiring this installer.

Cannot say enough great things about Marco. Would give him 6 stars if I could. He is a good and trustworthy partner, and would recommend him for any flooring job

Marco did an amazing job adding wood flooring to our home. His price and craftsmanship was excellent. He did a good job of matching our existing floor style and color.
