We feel incredibly lucky to have found Ryan Turney to remodel our home in Placerville, CA. From start to finish, Ryan was everything you hope for in a contractor: knowledgeable, reliable, communicative, and truly a joy to work with. He’s not just friendly and easygoing—he’s also deeply committed to doing high-quality work, never cutting corners, and always holding himself (and his subcontractors) to the highest standard. Ryan clearly takes pride in his craft, and it shows in every detail of the finished product. Ryan and his team handled everything that needed to be done to update our home and make it a paradise for our family and friends: multiple bathroom remodels, kitchen update, wood floor installation, new appliance installation, removal of an interior wall to join two smaller rooms into one, electrical upgrades, a full interior paint job, lawn installation, playground prep and installation, new staircase and storage construction, porch swing construction, and more. One of the things we appreciated most is how much trust we were able to place in him. We were offsite for much of the remodel, and we always felt confident that our home was in excellent hands. He communicated clearly, kept us updated, and treated our property with real care. Beyond the scope of the remodel, Ryan went above and beyond—helping us solve all kinds of practical challenges around the property, from figuring out a custom trash management system to helping us keep geese off the lawn (!). He’s that rare contractor who doesn’t just get the job done—he makes your life much easier in the process. And the cherry on top? His pricing was more than fair, especially given the caliber of the work. Ryan is honest, hardworking, and simply excellent at what he does. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We had the pleasure of working with RT Construction when we decided to remodel, upgrade and expand our home, and build a fence in 2021. They came highly recommended through multiple avenues and we were lucky to get them. Ryan really listened to, and worked with us to make our dream home a reality. His experience, resourcefulness and integrity made a real difference in guiding and easing the process-even though it was during the pandemic. With discernment and a clear understanding of all aspects of construction, he offered great guidance on what improvements the house did or did not need. He managed and oversaw all of the team members and subcontractors adeptly, and knowledgeably. His standard of quality is consistently high, and he ensures that not only his work, but that of the subcontractors meet this high bar. He communicated clearly and frequently with us about budget and timelines and kept us moving forward in line with our vision to make our forever home a reality. I can’t imagine being more confident that our forever home was built to last forever.

Ryan with RT construction was 5 start from bid to completion. We used him for a remodel / renovation project that included some deck work. Ryan was honest, up front, very professional, punctual and completed the job on time and within budget. Considering there were numerous complicated variables involved, Ryan hit the bullseye on both timing and cost. We were very impressed with Ryan. We'd definitely use him in the future.
