John Casalegno Concrete Construction

In November of 2022, John built two sets of concrete stairs that included retaining wall sections as part of the stair design. He built these for our terraced backyard to allow us to get to upper levels as well as protect from soil erosion. Before he did the work, it was bare soil exposed to the elements on a 15 foot hillside at a 45+ degree angle. Quite a project! I've waited until now to write a review because I wanted to see how well the project stood up to the elements. Well... We've had unprecedented amounts of rain this year. The stairs have not budged. There has also been no erosion. The drainage that was built into the design works perfectly. We believe that without John's work, we would have had a washed out backyard this year. John is easy to work with. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and took suggestions and requests well. These were then incorporated into the design. He did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. We are grateful to John and his team for doing such an amazing job.

This was our third project with John adding a sidewalk and additional gate opening along the side of our home. John and his crew removed the existing section of fence, added 4x6 posts to mount a new gate, removed a ton or two at least of dirt and gravel, and then poured a 50 foot sidewalk with proper drainage to professionally finish the side of my yard that used to be a a nightmare for spring weeding. Concrete is super clean and professional in appearance. Super happy with the result and the price was right on. John arrived on time for site preparation and concrete delivery and was in and out without any issues. Previous work from John was to expand our front walkway so no more stepping on the lawn getting out of the car, and a multi color textured back patio that we enjoy all year round. The most professional concrete contractor that I have ever dealt with. John was very upfront, fair and honest with his bid and completed the project in record time. The driveway has exceeded our expectations. Will definitely use John again for any other concrete jobs.
