How many recessed lights do I need?
A general rule is one recessed light per 4–6 square feet of ceiling space in kitchens, or one per 6–8 square feet in living areas. A 12x12 kitchen typically needs 6 lights, while a 15x20 living room needs 6–8. We provide a lighting plan during our estimate.
Can you install lights without attic access?
Yes. When there's no attic access, we use remodel (retrofit) housings that install from below through a small ceiling hole. It takes slightly longer per light but doesn't require accessing the space above. The finish quality is identical.
