From Rob, who provided a very reasonable estimate for a relatively small job, to Gonzalo and the crew, who were friendly, professional, and did excellent work—including a thorough cleanup afterward—and Karen, who made scheduling and billing easy and pleasant, the entire process exceeded expectations. These days it’s honestly difficult to find reliable people for trimming, gardening, or general indoor/outdoor house work. Most of the time there are hidden costs, delays, or you have to constantly explain the same things multiple times. I got the contact for this company from my neighbor, and I didn’t expect the experience to be this smooth. Everything was fast, straightforward, and high quality from the beginning. No hidden pricing, no surprise cleanup fees. After trimming and pruning the garden, they cleaned everything perfectly and even turned the bigger logs into wood chips. I was satisfied enough that I called them again later for my front yard as well. Same experience: fast, professional, and almost no extra communication needed. I explained once what I wanted, and they handled the rest completely on their own. That’s probably the best compliment for this type of service: it just works.

I have been using San Jose Tree Service yearly for the last 6 years to trim all of our trees and pull up poison oak. They always make it so easy and everyone is a pleasure to work with. They're super knowledgeable and never push work that doesn't need to be done. And they're very careful not to damage any of the landscaping in the areas they work.
