5 Star Roofing LLC

Michael Spwrling refuses to honor the warranty, the roof and gutters leak. He doesn't possess the right machines to vendor gutters. I paid $29,000 for roof and gutters. Within four days of completion I had a puddle on the floor of my sun room, laking in my kitchen into the walls. The roof has never passed inspection and Michael is condescending and yelled at me telling ME I cost him money. The roof is horrible looking. It leaked since day four and now six months in a sent h pictures of where it leaks into my closets up stairs. He destroyed the flashing on my second kitchen. Left a hole that pours dirt in on my stove in my indoor kitchen. He did not properly vent the Gaf roof in the front of my house. The gutters are ugly and are not put together properly causing flooding up the roof into my walls. Yesterday l discovered where the plaster is cracked in my living room that the walls are wet and moldy . Michael ruined my 1939 Mediterranean Revival house. He used mismatched tiles on the porch. Damaged the anesthetic of my home by installing gutters and downspouts over the architecture details. He also cut 6 inches off the side of my balcony. I did not authorize that. I wanted my house to be the same as it was just with a new roof and gutters. He also missed the wood with screws he drilled in to the roof and now I have screws like daggers hanging from the ceiling. He also painted over rotted boards instead of replacing them. The whole experience with five star is awful. He ruined my house. I am going to have to rent a house with a yard to live in while mine is being fixed.

We had a very positive experience with 5-Star Roof. The gentleman who came out for the repair was professional, communicated clearly, showed me photos of the work, and checked in throughout the process to discuss progress, which I really appreciated. Brian was our estimator and he was truly amazing — patient, thorough, and willing to work with us to make sure we got exactly what we needed done. Working with him is the reason we continued moving forward with 5-Star. He is absolutely 5-stars. The crew did a good job overall. Communication with the office was a little challenging at times, but everything worked itself out in the end. Pricing felt fair for the scope of work, and most importantly, I never felt lied to or taken advantage of. I would absolutely recommend 5-Star Roof and would specifically recommend working with Brian.

I was impressed with the positive reviews but, unfortunately, it took 3 months to get someone to schedule my roof work after they came out and provided an estimate. I signed the estimate and tried reaching out several times but I didn't hear back. After 3 months, they called me to schedule, but I had already found a different company and had the work completed. In addition, the new company found 5 more broken roof tiles that were not noticed when the estimate was done by 5 Star Roofing to fix a total of 3 broken tiles. Not sure if the additional 5 broken tiles were missed or just newly damaged in the 2 months between getting the estimate from 5 Star and arranging for the new company to come out.
