Sam was the guy who came in. This is a free service paid by Alameda county. He came in, looked around, gave a couple of hints as to how to block the rats coming in to the crawlspace how to avoid mice getting into the house, which areas to focus and so on. He doesn't help you fix the problem, but he gives you tips on how to fix the problem.

I am incredibly impressed by the service provided when I saw evidence of rats in my home and yard! 1.the service is FREE! 2. Someone answered the phone, clearly communicated and scheduled and appoint for a couple of days later. 2. Sergio Mendoza came to my house and is incredibly professional and competent. He was professional dressed and wore shoe covers when asked. 3 He spent at least an hour inspecting, explaining what was needed, identifying the type of rodents, and provided brochures to me and my neighbors on both sides of our house. since then we hired and outside service to fill building holes, set traps, (as we were told to do by Sergio) one caught. nothing since... no evidence they are back!

Valerie from vector control was so helpful! We had a critter trying to dig under our front porch and a few other concerns. Valerie responded quickly to our original voicemail, scheduled a visit in a reasonable timeframe, came out to our home and did a full home inspection. She was so informative and kind. She gave us a lot of tips and even left us with some management tools. Couldn’t recommend enough!!
