My wife and I hired John with John Van Alen Painting to caulk and paint our house. We are 100% pleased with the results. John performed an initial inspection and made recommendations. John communicated during the project and never left me guessing. John and his crew were professional and kind craftsmen completing the work with perfect precision. I highly recommend John’s Company. They get an A+.

I can’t speak highly enough of John, his team, and the quality work that they do. Besides being incredibly friendly and communicative throughout the whole process, they clearly take great pride in their work and it shows through in my house’s beautifully painted trim and window frames. Also, his crew didn’t just slap a coat of paint over any possible problems—they took measures of removing, treating, and sealing areas where dry rot was starting to show and could’ve very quickly become problematic. John’s prices were incredibly fair, esp. given the quality of workmanship, and he was great with his flexibility in scheduling the job around my schedule and needs. Also, another wholly unnecessary but immensely appreciated service of his—connecting me we several other high-quality contractors for other home projects. For example, his team even went so far as to contact several window specialists (they aren’t exactly easy to get in touch with!) and help schedule someone to take a look at a window frame of mine that potentially needed replacement (due to more extensive dry rot). It may seem like really anyone can slap some pain on a surface, but you REALLY notice the difference when you hire a company that has does high-quality work and has some of the highest-quality people working for it.
