Brent and his excellent and hardworking team just finished the exterior of our foothills home. They completed the work quickly and efficiently, were very professional and thorough, made helpful suggestions, and they impressed even me (a stickler for detail and neatness). My wife and I decided that we wanted to have the majority of the inside of our home painted. This included and office, two hallways a billiard room and office, kitchen, dining area and a decent size family room. As I am getting up there in age and have a couple of back issues, it was not feasible for me to do it. I am a major DIY person; I was grappling with the decision of hiring a person or company to have it done. Especially since the last time I hired a contractor to paint the inside of our previous house, it turned out to be a disaster and I had to finish it myself. Back to the current project. We obtained several quotes. Bayshore was not the least expensive of the quotes. The contractor who had the lowest price was highly recommended, and I have seen some of his work and it looked pretty good. However, he missed appointments for the original quote walkthrough, and did not call to advise that he would not be here for our appointment. I had to keep following up with him to get an actual formal quote. Then I found out that he was working under someone else's contractor's license as he did not have one of his own. That means he could not have been bonded or have insurance. I was not looking to hire laborers to do the work for me. I was looking to hire a professional painting contractor. What first impressed me is how punctual Brent was during all of the quoting process. He also provided a few suggestions such as to the choice of paint Satin vs Semigloss and where the change in color on certain walls should begin and end. Both of these turned out to be improvements over what we were originally considering. Brent stayed in contact during the quote process and did another pre-walkthrough after we signed the contract. Upon starting the project Brent again walked through the project with me and Clint, his project manager, and Francisco one of the other main painters. Brent also kept in touch with me during the project, and personally did a final walk through with me. Clint and Fransico were very professional and cordial. They worked with us as to which order the rooms would be painted. They cleaned up after themselves every day. They helped me move some pieces of furniture that based on our contract they probably did not have to. (We had flooring put in just the week before, so some furniture was disassembled and moved around). Prior to the paining, the condition of our baseboards was so aesthetically displeasing that we considered having them replaced. They did such a good job on them that we did not have to have them replaced. They took all of the necessary steps required in the prep-work from removing outlet & switch plates, to covering furniture that could not be moved such as the billiard table and billiard lamp as well as kitchen counters, etc. They taped off all the appropriate areas that needed to be taped. The actual paining itself came out wonderful! I would not hesitate to use Brent and Bayshore Painter's team for a future project.
