Brilliant Painting

Jim and John are professionals! They take great care in prep, all aspects of the project, and cleanup. Jim offered great advice on which kinds of paint to choose depending on location and specific concerns and desired effects. He is a great communicator and was always timely in his responses on updates for expected timeline and arrival times. Both Jim and John showed patience and attention to details, as painting pros should all do, but frequently don’t. If you want courteous, skilled professionals who do “Brilliant” work, I strongly urge that you consider these guys if they are available in your timeframe. If not, they might even be worth waiting for. They freshened up and softened the stark white of the home I purchased, and helped to make it feel so much warmer and inviting. When I’m ready to paint the exterior, I will know just who to call.

First, I will say that being from the Los Angeles area, I was thrilled that when I requested estimates for painting my dad’s home in Arroyo Grande, that I received three of four requests in a timely way. Thanks Central Coast!! But I hired Brilliant Painting not just because Jimmy met me in person and explained options, but he was respectful of my 94 year old dad’s participation in the process. And while I thought I had a pretty specific list of tasks so I could compare apples to apples, he brought ideas to the table that allowed me to simplify and work just with his company, and delivered a prompt and fair estimate. Beyond the painting, he was willing to add on roof power washing, which seriously made all of the difference in the world in the final appearance of the home. Additionally, he also had the skills to add on guards for the rain gutters, and power washed a LOT of concrete (driveway and patio) for an hourly rate to finish the project. This pricing allowed my dad an affordable approach and the flexibility to agree to the extras. The quality of the work went beyond my expectations. The house went from looking like a state park ranger station from the 1990s, to an updated beachy home in the woods. We will work on the landscaping next, but my dad and I are thrilled with the overall improved look. Thanks to Jim and his excellent communication, and to his crew for a job well done!!

We had them paint our new garage door and the gable above the door. They did an excellent job. I called three painters. Brilliant had the best price and the most detailed quote (about what and how they would do the job). We would be happy to hire them again.
