Scotty's Heating & Air

After being a loyal customer for 11 years it saddens me to write this review. I scheduled my yearly maintenance and Stephen came out claiming my system was fine. After a few months I called them again as my system was definitely struggling. Stephen again claimed nothing was wrong then proceeded to release the refrigerant claiming my system was over pressurized causing my AC to blow at 82 degrees, out of the supply vents. Stephen claimed it was fine. Argued with my fiance (an hvac) installer, then quoted me $6800 for a whole house fan and coil repair on a 5 year old unit that I purchased from Scotty’s. I hate to even leave a star, as I got a second opinion from an honest company DJ’s, turns out I only needed refrigerant that Scotty’s released, a thorough cleaning and the duct to my attic was sucking into the air conditioner. The supplies are now blowing at 55 degrees that Stephen told me was impossible. His theory is, if it’s 100 degrees outside it will only blow 20 degrees less indoors. And that my duct couldn’t handle the attic temp of 130 degrees. Mind you I just hand a brand new roof placed and much more ventilation than it had previously. I would like to add I spoke directly to Scotty the owner and he is backing his technician, even though my household cameras monitored everything.

Tech Stephen came to check up on our new Amana Heatpump. Reset the thermostat and put our mind at ease that we chose a great system and that all is running well. Many thanks.

Five days before Christmas, the company that had been servicing my HVAC unit, determined that the unit had significant issues, shut the entire unit down and left, with the promise of returning after the weekend. Deciding to get a second opinion on the condition of the HVAC unit, I called Scott. He came the same day, spent plenty of time assessing the unit issues and explaining the situation and turned the unit back on. He suggested several options and sent estimates for each later that day. Several days before the installation, Scott called to set up the schedule and inquired about my dog’s safety in the yard with the open gate. Stephen & Daniel arrived on time, introduced themselves and took every precaution to protect my floors & walls. They were friendly and respectful, explained the process, made sure I understood the workings of the unit and had the thermostat programmed before leaving that evening. I had an excellent experience and Highly recommend Scotty’s Heating & Air.
