Western Heating & Cooling

Western Heating & Cooling assisted us with replacing our furnace through a PG&E program. While there were some initial issues with the installation—specifically a missing and then faulty air pressure switch—these were eventually resolved. The technician, Jose, was professional, responsive, and helpful throughout that process. This review is primarily about our experience with customer care. Unfortunately, it was quite difficult to get in touch with anyone. We understand that this may be a busy season, but despite leaving a voicemail, sending a text, and eventually an email, we only received a response after the email in the form of a phone call from Jose. The lack of communication and response was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the nature of our concern. The reason for our outreach was a new issue that arose with our AC. After hiring a separate technician, we were informed that there was a refrigerant leak, possibly in the AC coil or line set underneath the home. Since the AC coil had been removed during the furnace installation, the technician advised that we reach out to Western Heating & Cooling to check if any workmanship warranty might apply. Jose did come by and confirmed that there is indeed a leak, but since it involves the AC, he was unable to perform any further work. As of now, we still have not received a response to our inquiry regarding warranty coverage or next steps. However, it appears that we are now responsible for covering the cost of repairs through another company. We appreciated Jose’s professionalism, but the lack of follow-through from the customer service side leaves us hesitant to recommend Western Heating & Cooling without some caution. Reliable post-installation support is essential, and unfortunately, our experience fell short in that area.
