A less reputable company (Performance Mechanical) quoted me a repair bill of over $4,000 and recommended I replace my 8 year old furnace for $11,000+ So glad I got a second opinion. Called Barnell Heating and Air. Ben Barnell came out and had my furnace running perfectly in less than an hour. Said all it needed was some routine maintenance. Good honest businessman.
Barnell Heating and Air is amazing. Ben, the owner, took my call during his lunch break, told me they (his crew) was booked for three weeks, but he would be happy to stop by within the hour and take a look to see if he could do anything to help. He looked, AND he fixed it!! Quick, efficient, reliable and affordable. Did I also mention, friendly? Yes. A friendly and professional local, small Lake County business, From here forward, I will contact Barnell for all my Heating and Air service needs for my home and my rental houses. Barnell Heating and Air is the first to call!
If we could, we would give Barnell service 0 star. Our air conditioner broke in the hottest month of Lake County (early August) and need repair. Ben came just look at our unit without any diagnosis and immediately recommend a brand new system replacement (roughly $9-10k) and charged us over $200. He is not interested in fixing. We went along and ask for a quote. We waited over a week, made multiple calls/messages and didn't get a call back. We called Henry Repair in Lakeport, they came and fix our unit within 2 days (very reason price and great services). We DO NOT RECOMMEND Barnell Heating and Air service. Don't waist your time and money on these guys.
