We have a five-year-old home. This is the worst floor of any home in which I've lived. about year one, the spaces between tiles (laminate) started buckling in a few areas, gradually popping up all over. One section started pulling apart leaving a 1/4" gap. We had a Cinderella rep over to look at the problem and over the course of about six months texted back and forth, with promises of getting back to us with news from the manufacturer, news on what Cinderella could do to help. Basically, we were getting strung along. I told the rep thanks, that it was obvious nothing was going to be done and that's the last we heard from him. I figured out which product we had and did some research and there was a lifetime warranty on the product, something the rep never said. When I dug into problems what I found was the symptoms of our damage was typically due to installation, either not enough relief near the wall for expansion and/or too much moisture in the floor when installed. That made sense as to why the rep was stringing us along. Cinderella didn't want to have to do any work to help us out. Over the least three years it's gotten much worse, sections all over the floor, not in the few places it started. I am looking for a new company now to completely replace the floor. While I am sure Cinderella has many successful installations, what really makes a company stand out for me is not about what they do right, but how they handle what what they do wrong. How they help you, support you. That is what develops customer loyalty, good reputation.

We visited on two occasions, months apart, for different projects. On the first visit, the saleswoman pointed and said, "Here are the carpet samples" and then ignored us after that. So on the second visit, we tried a strategy that has proven to be quite useful. A different saleswoman engaged us in conversation and we explained that we were looking for inexpensive carpet for a small home office. We took home samples, chose a carpet and color, explained that we expect a competitive deal, and asked for a quote. The saleswoman developed a bad attitude and said, "I may get to it today, maybe tomorrow, or maybe Tuesday". It's now Thursday and there has been no proposal and no phone call and no email. It's instructive to see how someone treats you when they think you don't have much money to give them, because that tells you a lot about how they will treat you *after* they have your money. Here's the best part! All that was just a test. We are getting proposals now for the actual project, which is an entire 6200 sq. ft. home, and Cinderella has no chance of getting the job. Try our strategy next time you are getting bids for a construction or renovation job. But if you're wise, you'll beware of the friendly facade at this place.

Such nice and knowledgeable folks! Kindness abounds... my knees were killing me so I asked for a rolling chair to be able to keep looking at tiles... no sweat! Got a chair and all the help anyone could use! They even have tiles you can custom design for your own color scheme! Amazing!
