Write a ReviewVery disappointed with a recent service experience. During a visit, the technician, Baldo, damaged the corner cap of my kitchen window. I witnessed it happen—there was a very loud noise, and the tool was in his hand at the time. Despite this, he denied responsibility. I had only requested a simple measurement and specifically asked that no tools be used to open the kitchen window. However, the technician proceeded to use a tool to pry at the glass without my consent or explanation, which led to the damage. Prior to this visit, my kitchen window frame was in excellent condition, with no scratches or damage. The situation worsened with management. The owner promised a follow-up call on Monday morning, April 13, 2026, but never followed through. When I later spoke with a VP named Zion, the interaction was unprofessional—he repeatedly interrupted me, raised his voice, and dismissed my concerns - continuing to deny the damage despite photo evidence before and after. He also refused my request to review the rest of the window frame, which clearly shows no other scratches or dents and supports that the damage occurred during the visit on April 9, 2026. Additionally, he declined to visit the site in person while still denying what occurred. It is also concerning that the technician did not fully disclose his actions to his boss. He handled multiple areas of the window (top right and bottom left) while measuring the glass, which coincided with the loud impact that caused the damage. I was also concerned by what appeared to be an attempt to have my original Nextdoor post removed, which felt like an effort to silence or discourage me from sharing my experience. Overall, the communication, accountability, and professionalism from top to bottom have been extremely poor. Just a heads up to neighbors—be cautious and make sure to document everything before and after any service visit. Wadsworth Glass Inc has refused to acknowledge the damage caused during the visit, and their technician Baldo failed to fully disclose what occurred at the time of the incident.
Zion and team did an amazing job at Sweat Well Studio and our clients can’t stop talking about the new mirrors. Professional and quick from quote to install. Great local business and glad to be El Sobrante neighbors!!
I've been working with Wadsworth Glass for several weeks now as a homeowner and I'm tired of being gaslit. You'll notice that most of their positive reviews are for people living in homes. Yet, somehow despite clearly showing an expertise in just residential homes, they are the preferred supplier selected for the condo buildings of Gateview. In the rest of my review I will explain i. why they are liars, and ii. why they deserved to be fined for non-OSHA complaint practices. My windows are over 50 years old. They have taken a beating from both the sun and salt water. Despite the frames being made of aluminium, the oceanic environment has been harsh enough to corrode the frames. On one of my frames, the corrosion is so bad that the frame has lost structural integrity and has bent out of shape. On the rest of the frames, the corrosion is so bad that the frame can no longer seal against the outer elements and constantly leak in cold air. My apartment is constantly like an ice box. Despite having an electric bill (the heaters in my unit are all electric) that is double compared to my building average, AND have never performed a leak test, Wadsworth employees claim that they visually verified that my windows seal and do not leak an abnormal amount of wind. This is gaslight attempt #1. The other issue with my windows is that they are also harboring mold growth. This is especially bad because with the wind (whether the windows are open or closed) the mold spores are spread through the apartment. Because of this, the ppm of mold in the air is so high that even with multiple air purifiers, I have developed pulmonary mycosis. Even if I clean the windows, the mold returns because it's living in the broken window seals. This mold is so obvious that if I take a picture and show it to ChatGPT, even it can immediately identify that there is mold growing on my windows. Despite all of this, Wadsworth claims that my windows are fine and do not need to be replaced. This is gaslight attempt #2. I've tried to contact several attorney's in the bay and because this is dealing with an HOA, they don't want to touch this case! If you're an attorney and want to help in this case, please reach out. Imagine having this company's employees come to your home, see the mold, acknowledge it is there, see the corrosion, see that none of the windows form a proper seal, yet still recommend to both your and your building management that the windows are fine. The other point I will bring up is their non-OSHA compliant practices. For the other apartments in my building, which they deem are bad enough to be replaced, they do not use a hanging platform to replace these floor to ceiling windows. Instead, they have in house strapped together a harness which they will drill into concrete ceilings with 60 bolts and then hang on the side of the building as they try to remove the windows. Besides the harness being non-OSHA complainant, the 60 massive holes they drill compromise the integrity of the thin concrete floors of the building. Furthermore, when they patch it up, they do not use concrete again and just use some plaster-of-paris. How do I know? Because of the units they have replaced, they have caused more damage to them by introducing new issues afterwards. In summary, if you are looking for a business that does unsafe work, and will gaslight you to make you believe that what you see is wrong, go with Wadsworth Glass!
