Desert Garage Door

They installed a garage door for me charged full price but used all our existing parts and frame . I provided the new door and parts myself. so i was charged for complete replacement but they just put up the panels and left after only two hrs . I paid for more labor than i got!

Desert Garage is an okay place, but it holds a monopoly-like presence in the area. The owner, Terry, is well aware that he’s the only local option and that going with another vendor would mean traveling out of town, which often costs more time and money. We’ve done a decent amount of business with Desert Garage in the past, but our most recent interaction was disappointing. One of our roll-up doors broke, and per our company policy, we needed a quote before any work could be approved—something Terry would have been paid for. However, he became upset when asked to provide that quote, insisting on being paid outright without going through the proper steps. When our assistant tried to explain the process and get the quote, Terry lost his temper and began yelling. While it seemed he was frustrated with the company's procedures, taking it out on a professional who was simply following policy was uncalled for. Our assistant remained calm and professional throughout. Terry did end up fixing the issue—but with an attitude. After that experience, we mutually agreed to go our separate ways and are no longer doing business with each other. One of the other workers seemed like a good guy, and hopefully the business can work on how it handles conflict going forward.
