Mechanics Express and Import Repair

I broke down in Patterson on a Sunday while driving home from the Bay Area to Ventura. An employee at the hotel where I was stranded recommended Irwing and Mechanics Express — and I’m so glad they did! AAA towed my van to Mechanics Express on Monday , and Irwing, the owner, immediately got me in, diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator, and had me back on the road in a little over two hours. Irwing is an amazing and kind person, and I can’t express enough gratitude for the way he prioritized my situation and helped me when I was stuck far from home. It’s rare to find that kind of customer service and genuine care these days. I would give Mechanics Express an extra 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!

Irwing is an absolutely incredibly human being. When my car broke down 30 minutes outside of town at 8 am the Monday after New Years, his shop was the only one willing to try and fit me into its schedule. He gave me a straightforward assesment of the vehicle and when I told him it was going to be too expensive to be worth fixing he not only directed me to an honest dealer in the next town over, but also inspected my new vehicle, installed a tow-light adapter I needed, replaced blown fuses for me, hitched my new car to my trailer, and even helped me dispose of my old car. I would like to thank the entire staff for the wonderful hospitality and help. Had mechanical problems with my car and the owner stepped up and got us on the road quickly. Recommend that anyone passing thru and need a good car mechanic PLEASE call this shop and they will help out in anyway.
