ASAP Custom Windows

I’ve been using ASAP Custom Windows for years. It’s a small company with affordable pricing compared to other places. The office staff could use an attitude adjustment (I’ve learned to work around that issue by requesting Gerardo jr). All in all great place for quality wood windows and doors .

Blown away with how fast and communicative they were! A dozen other suppliers quoted at least 5 weeks for custom size doors with laminate (frosted) windows, but ASAP Custom Windows completely lived up to its name -- 2 weeks or less quoted, actually finished it in one week!! Great communication throughout the process -- When I went in, they showed me examples around the shop to help me pick out all the options available for my custom order, and they called to let me know status updates and support important logistical matters a few times. Also like that everything was constructed in house and that I was supporting a local business that made my doors in my own city instead of shipping it in via some big chain store. Very opposite my experience with the Emeryville Home Depot, who did not meet their quoted ship times, were very slow to get the order, made me feel like an inconvenience, are disconnected from their products/vendors, and are generally are terrible at customer service. ASAP Custom Windows was a little more expensive but completely worth the difference. Shop local, get quality products and excellent customer service!

2021 independent review. I would have to agree with reviewer Byron's take on ASAP windows. The quality is fine, the craftmanship is good, its well measured, its fast, and kind of affordable, but..... As Bryon stated nine years ago, its the owner that's the problem, all of the things he noted about the guys character are true. For my part, I tried really hard to work with him because I have liked the work I have had them do in the past, but he kept throwing up road blocks and changing prices and was just generally unclear and hard to work with though out the process. And like Bryon said, he is quick to blame you for a multitude of irrelevant things, while I wouldn't say he's dishonest, he certainly isn't kind. Just my two sense. I am disappointed in this outcome, since I have other windows in my 20's apartment building that still need replacing, and I really wanted ASAP to work out. Or I thought I did, they were actually kind of expensive. $420 for a window that was $180 twenty years ago. Anyone know a place in the East Bay that's like these guys used to be? Yeah I know I'm dreaming but seriously, throw me a bone here.
