Window Installation by The Home Depot

While the door seems like good quality and I’m over all pretty happy with the appearance of it. The door and frame was damaged either during shipping or install. Regardless the installer still left without noting it or fixing it. The door does drags and the weather stripping is already broken. I’m not sure if that is just because the weather stripping is too big or if the door wasn’t measured accurately. We have opened a ticket with Home Depot but after waiting 3 + months for the door to be delivered, the last thing I want to be dealing with is trying to get the door fixed. But it’s my front door so we cannot leave it as is.

I was underwhelmed by the Phone Sales consultant. Yet, very impressed by our contracted installer. Our experience was a mixed bag. Sales Associate was somewhat detached or uninvested for our purchase. Specific details for our door were lacking. Although the individual was pleasant, she missed significant basic details. My impression was the associate was simply reading from a computer monitor, which i could have & certainly did. Overall, I was disappointed with that portion. But the final product received was wonderful. The installer was knowledgeable, even though communication was somewhat limited ( let that sink in ). His work was time efficient and detail oriented. I began watching his work, then decided to let him 'do his thing'. Great Results. So my impression. Bad Sales & Good Contractor.

Bought a security door, asked for everything needed for install , and they scheduled the install with one of their contractors. The associate sold me tons of add ins for the door that I ended up not needing, but failed to sell me the door knob and lock.. and I asked for everything needed, contractors show up, 5 weeks later after purchase to install the door, and they said there is no lock.. had them install the door anyway and had to go to Home Depot to return the items the contractor said I didn’t need and but a lock.. wouldn’t recommend .
