I’d highly recommend James to do both your mold inspection and remediation, especially if you are mold sensitive. Normally hiring someone to do both is not recommended but after working with 4 different companies, James was the only one who I felt was competent to do both. He spent hours at my home during the inspection and I don’t think he missed anything. Most importantly, he was strategic and accurate with his remediation, which saved me 10s of thousands in repairs. He didn’t leave me with a huge, unnecessary mess to clean up like other companies were going to do. Every cut we made, we found mold. His remediation team was professional and pretty thorough. They don’t use chemicals-they remediate by removal and offer a thorough SPC which is the only right way to remediate. James is well versed in mold remediation standards and was exponentially more knowledgeable about keeping a home healthy than anyone I interviewed. He gave me tips on remodeling to prevent future issues. His bid was a bit more than other companies but he helped modify the remediation to keep me within budget and bring my home back to health. We have used James and his company several times now. Once for remediation, and twice for inspection and consultation prior to buying a home. The mold industry is largely unregulated and it’s difficult to find someone who doesn’t cut corners and does their testing and remediation the RIGHT WAY. I have the HLA-DR gene so I’m medically mold sensitive and I fully trust James and his team’s work and advice. On the home inspections, James could be dishonest and claim minor issues and make money on repairs but he’s incredibly ethical and has always told me the honest truth even if it’s not good news and won’t make him money off of doing any remediation. He has been a blessing to my family and I fully trust and recommend him and his company. We will continue to use him in the future.
