Borncamp Painting

We live in the Edgewood development in Tracy. We have the stained yellow oak finished cabinets that were installed by the home builder. Not the best quality but the lacquer finish is crapola. The lacquer just died, not sure why, we did nothing to it to cause its demise, just age I guess, quality lacquer work would not die like ours did. We have very positive prior experiences with Borncamp Painting and asked them if they could help us. Ford Borncamp gave us a very fair estimate, we had 3 other estimates that went from super cheap to WOW. Lisa Borncamp did the work. She sanded all of the key surfaces, and put primer on everything to prep for proper paint adhesion, you have to know what you are doing when you put paint on lacquer, the Borncamp's know their business. Lisa painted the cabinets with what is considered the best paint for a bathroom environment, Duropoxy (Ford Borncamp recommendation), it looks really good. The cabinets got 4 coats (three bathroom vanities, and three linen closets), it took that much to cover our ugly woodwork. The point is: Lisa kept painting the cabinets until the painted surface looked like new (my wife chose white paint and it took a few coats to cover properly), she did not cut any corners or get skimpy with the paint. Lisa is also the best I have ever seen at "cutting" a fine paint edge, a pro. Lisa was on time, did a full-days work, was very tidy and the finished product is simply stunning. My wife is extremely picky (I bet this is the first time you have ever heard about a picky wife) and she is just tickled with Lisa's results. We gave the Borncamp's a sow's ear and they turned it into a silk purse. We recommend them without reservation. Nicely Done! Mike and Alice
