We’re 100% satisfied with the job that Platypus Painting did repainting our front entry doors and refinishing the oak threshold. They arrived at the scheduled day and time and were very neat with the way adjacent walls and hardware were covered and protected. The paint was sprayed on and is flawless. They sanded and put 2 coats of varnish on the faded threshold which looks new again. The new weatherstripping seals the doors with a perfect fit. I would use this company again. There are other contractors that charge less, but I doubt we would have been as satisfied with their work. Oh, they also left samples of paint and large brushouts to help us decide the final color before they got started.

Platypus was recommended by another well regarded painter who had retired. From start to finish, they were responsive, accommodating and professional in painting the trim of my 1931 house. Their workmanship was noticeably better than the last paint company I used. They had great attention to detail, with excellent prep work on trim, windows and wrought iron railings. Tall scaffolding was required which they managed in tight spaces. The foreman was amazing, always listening to my requests and solving problems along the way. All of the crew were pleasant, hard working and skilled, some with special expertise. I also made use of a free one hour color consultation from a designer they recommended (several to choose from) to select a color for exterior doors. The cost was reasonable for the quality. Overall a positive experience, and I would definitely use them again.

We used Platypus for our entire exterior and interior painting during our home renovation in 2017. They did a fantastic, fast and efficient job. They also stained our new front door that required some patience and persistence. Over the years since we have had them back for smaller jobs like interior touch ups, deck washing/sealing and refinishing the front door. They have always been prompt and reliable. All their staff have been professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.
