Very poor customer service from the front desk lady! She showed no interest in answering questions. This place has the best or more varieties of materials, but without help from the customer service, there no point in going back there

Golden Valley Material Supply — May 3, 2026 I visited today and had a very disappointing experience with one of the office staff members. There are three women working in the office; the one I’m referring to sits next to the door. After completing my payment, she provided no acknowledgment whatsoever — no confirmation that the payment was received, no instructions on what to expect next or how to proceed with my order. As a paying customer, basic communication about the next steps should be a standard part of the service. Beyond the lack of professionalism, her behavior felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. No customer should feel dismissed or treated differently based on their background. I hope management addresses this and ensures all customers are treated with equal respect and clear communication. I would like to continue supporting this business, but this experience has made me hesitant to return.

Here is rate base on 2 projects experiences: Quality (3): The quality of clean base rock is OK Price(2): base rock or rebar is slightly same as Home Depot, but bender board is more expensive than Home Depot. Service(4): I ordered 34 of #4 rebars for one backyard project, but got #3 rebar. Called customer service which helped us to replace it Hopefully the business owner can see our feedbacks, and keep improving the price & quality, to help us to do more projects in Tracy.
