We highly recommend Saverio Torquato with S&G Home Orchard Care & Landscape. He is a wonderful landscaper, very knowledgeable, and thorough. In 2022, with his knowledge of plants, trees, soil, and design sense; he transformed our front yard. We had gathered landscaping ideas and talked with him about what we liked and disliked about some of the landscaping ideas. He drew up several landscaping plans for us to choose from that combined some of our ideas and some of his ideas too. After we selected the plan we liked, he began by removing the old grass, shrubs, dirt, and then amending the soil. Our house was built on an old orchard and the soil is very hard and needed lots of help. He installed a new sprinkler system, lighting along the pathway leading to the house, and also highlighting certain areas of the yard. Saverio is very conscious of water use and the need for a drought tolerant yard. With his ideas and hard work, we reduced our lawn by at least half of what it had been. Saverio installed flagstone to create an entertaining area that eventually will be shaded by our newly planted tree. The lawn he installed is drought tolerant and stays green year round. We worked together in selecting types of plants and trees. Our Dwarf Jacaranda tree is absolutely beautiful with a spot light shining on it, making a shadow on the fence. We have many people walk or drive by and comment on our lovely front yard. As the trees and plants have grown, the front yard is even more beautiful as it has matured. Our front yard is a pleasure to look at and nicer than we could have imagined. Saverio listened to us and adapted as we added more features such as lighting. He shared his knowledge and expertise with us. From the start to the end, Saverio was honest, trustworthy, and professional. He gave us a quote and he stayed within that, except when we changed our minds and added more to the project such as lighting and more plants. It was a great working with him and we definitely learned a lot from him. We really love looking at our front yard and enjoy our new entertaining area too.
