We hired Inspired Landscapes to redesign and rebuild our back yard landscape. Matt produced an artistic design that fully takes advantage of the space and the surrounding environment.. The design converts a large, underutilized lawn area into a large, beautiful garden consisting of perennials and pollinators that frame a rolling vineyard vista. This water-conserving landscape is in the process of being planted as Matt personally selects the plants when they become available during the spring. The project includes renewal of gravel walkways throughout the property and will be entirely edged with natural stone cobbles. Matt’s crew has been incredible. They arrive every morning on time, work very hard through the entire day, and leave the work site tidy at the end of each day. They are friendly, energetic and knowledgeable, offer many good ideas, and seem truly motivated to do the best job possible. Matt is a pleasure to work with as a contractor. He is a great communicator explaining the work performed and the work remaining to be completed. He provides regular updates on the project budget and has remained within his original project cost estimates. He is also extremely flexible in accommodating our ideas and suggestions. It’s rare to find a contractor who works with you on an equal level and delivers as promised.

We are amazed what Matt and the Inspire team created. We got a fountain in front, a fountain in back, a sacred space for the swing our daughter made, steps to our side-yard, a sharing library, ADA pavers for our handicapped loved one, and a bird’s paradise! Just what we wanted and so much more than we ever dreamed. Matt really listened to what we wanted and wisely suggested what we didn’t know to ask for. We've worked with Matt at Inspired Landscapes twice now and both experiences have been outstanding. Our previous house in Sebastopol needed a front yard reboot, and we wanted "like a wild English garden meets Sonoma" situation and man, they really delivered. With only a few pictures from books and the internet they put together a fantastic looking plan and pulled off an amazing transformation of our front yard. Before it was a a scrubby, somewhat sad little patch of weeds, and within a few days (and then several months of growing in), the whole place was transformed. They did French drains and gopher cages and laid a ton of flagstone which looked gorgeous. Really fast, friendly and professional crew. We could not be happier with the results. And honestly when we sold the place I think the yard is what did it -- and the landscape probably paid for itself twice over. So for our new house in the San Diego area we knew we wanted their help again, and our experience was similarly great. This time we just needed the plans drawn up, but since we're in a more desert-like area we went for something equally wild, but more suited for the environment. They drew up the plans for low water yet very vibrant plants and succulents that bloom throughout the year. The garden is going in now and we couldn't be happier with how things are looking. All around great experience with these guys.
