Ewing Outdoor Supply

My husband went to return something to the store today, an item off the shelf and they wanted to charge him a 15% restocking fee. I can understand if this was a special order that there would be some type of stocking fee . I have spent several thousands of dollars in this store landscaping my backyard . After a brief conversation they waived the fee as a one-time courtesy. He likes the quality of the material they sell and the knowledgeable staff, unfortunately over $22.50 they have now lost a customer. Be warned. Note, we are a family who purposely supports local and small businesses. I do not like writing negative reviews.

Ewing in Gilroy is the one of the best stores on the south bay area carrying high quality irrigation systems controllers and every pipe, tubing, elbows and connector to complete or repair your much needed irrigation system. They also carry outdoor lighting systems like the Luminaire line. Want to replace some water thirsty lawns with artificial turf or put in your own putting green? They carry an abundance of different styles and color blends that are about as close to real turf as you can buy. I also saw samples of climbing ivy leaves that one could attach to fencing. They stock high quality lawn and garden tools of every kind. It's no wonder so many landscapers and grounds workers always have carts loaded with supplies. I've never been in there when there hasn't been at least three contractors picking up large amounts of supplies. The real heroes of that shop is Mario and Doug, the men who man the sales desk. You can ask them any question and they have the answers that they back up by showing you just the equipment and explaining why they feel it is the best solution. I can't say enough how knowledgeable sales people make such a huge difference to a business. Besides that they just take the time you need and don't rush. Customers waiting never seem to mind. And while you're waiting it's a good time to chat with other customers and make contacts and collect business cards. You already know they won't use inferior supplies. Check them out!
