Yesterday afternoon one of my 50+ year old garage door spring mechanisms broke and I couldn’t lift the heavy wooden door to get into my garage. I called Anderson Garage Door Service and they sent out a technician, Dmitri, to inspect the problem, recommend how it should be fixed and provide the cost of the repairs. The price was more than I initially expected but after thinking about it the price seemed reasonable to me given the special components required for the repair, plus Dmitri was here and ready to tackle the job. I had Dmitri repair the broken spring mechanism for the one door and replace the main spring in my other garage door. When he was finished, I couldn’t believe what a difference there was in the doors. I don’t have a garage door opener, I have to lift the doors manually. The doors are like new, are much lighter to open, and now stay in whatever position I leave them. We’ve been in this house for 40 years and the garage doors have always been heavy to open, but now its like I’ve got brand new garage doors that require very little strength to open. I couldn’t be happier with the result, especially since I called Anderson mid-afternoon and had the doors fixed and old parts removed by yesterday evening.
