We hired Joe to refinish wood floors and restore wood trim. He took $2,250 as down payment several months ago, the work did not even start, for several weeks he was telling us he is waiting for materials to do stripping, now he promised to return money, again for several weeks, and again,he did not even show up to a meeting to return money. His grading should be way below 0 in our opinion, very bad experience, dishonest business.

I booked job with Joe who appeared to be a nice guy end of April 2023. I gave him half quote (2700.00) $1350.00 He couldn't start job because of the rain. He came back around May 5 then left to do a bigger job painting interior of a house $8000.00 job in Benicia, Ca. I said ok I'll wait. Then week later his helper his cousin got his car on fire, he got covid, he lost his helper Cory gone to Oregon, he was supposed to resume work June 19th to clean up mess his cousin left paint chips and joint compound all over outside my house. He lost all my paint it fell back of his truck..and in the street!! He used my ladder made it a mess, then left his water sprayer and bucket joint compound & primer I had to take back to his house since he was a no show couple weeks. Now found out he's back in the hospital can't breathe. He told me while in Benicia he got his sprayer stolen. Now on June 30 he told me back in the hospital again ..and his cell phone got cut off. Now July 7 he's back in the hospital for another issue. His father got involved was a jerk with me, he would not give me my money back! He said he owed me $1000.00 back he can't finish the job. I said ok...then his father told me to go to court!! His son said he take care of me.I've done nothing wrong! I agreed to get $1000.00 back!!! I have not heard from Joe or his father from out of state. He's a nice guy. I'm leaving a warning message to all! Don't waste your time with this guy! See what I get helping someone out!!!!! No response to my messages giving him hope for his health. No call no text no Facebook nothing. He could at least back up what he promised.
