Youngs Carpet One Floor & Home

I have done business with Young’s for years. I love that they are a family run business and when buying flooring there they bring you in as part of the family and really care. I just had them make area carpets for me and I will never buy elsewhere again! Morgan carefully measured our living room and made the perfect shape and size to fit the constraints. We love it! We also love our new floor to floor carpet and the commercial carpet they installed at my chiropractic office Hunt Vitality. They are the best!

We have worked with Young's Carpet One/Sierra Tile and Stone multiple times over the years. We have always been pleased with the outcomes. Recently, we renovated our primary bathroom and used Young's for our shower and floor tiles. Brittany was instrumental in getting us to a beautiful finished bathroom space. She patiently assisted us with our design choices and product selections. Throughout the process, all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

We contracted with Young’s Carpet One to remove some old hardwood in our kitchen and dining area, linoleum in the hall and guest bathroom, and white carpet in the living room. After removal they were to replace everything with laminate flooring and new baseboards. The contract was signed on 07/03/25 with a substantial deposit remitted. The work was to begin on 08/02/25 but was cancelled (reason unknown) and rescheduled for 08/11/25. That date was cancelled due to issues with the material that was ordered. It was then rescheduled for 08/18/25 however the installer did not complete his prior job so our install was delayed until 08/19/25. The installers arrived the morning of 08/19 (Tuesday), completed the tear down in a couple of days and began installation of the new material. The whole job was completed the following Monday…or so we thought. The floor was beautiful and the way the planks were laid out was how we wanted. Imagine our disappointment when we found out it all had to be removed and reinstalled. As it turned out, the installation was completed WITHOUT any underlayment (padding/moisture barrier). This was brought to the saleslady’s attention when we went in to make our final payment. When asked about the underlayment she indicated that she would check with the installer and get back to us. As it turned out the flooring DID require an underlayment and it was not done so the floor had to be removed and reinstalled correctly. This was scheduled for 09/16/25 and completed in two days. While we are disappointed in this major oversight and surprised that it happened given the great reviews Young’s Carpet One has, we are satisfied with the final product. We are also glad that both the salesperson and the installation team took ownership of the problem and fixed it. However as we still have more flooring work to do in the future, I do not think I would go back to Young’s Carpet One.
