Thompson's Floor Covering

In our search for new carpets we read the couple of negative reviews here however we were referred by several friends so we moved forward. I can say it was a very positive experience. W live about an hour from the store in the mountains. We were greeted with a friendly and courteous staff. We explained our situation and needs. There was no high pressure sales at all. We picked out our carpet. A couple days later the estimator came by took measurements and gave us our quote and answered any questions we had. It was a week from the time we picked out our capet to installation. The install crew was very courteous and friendly. Did a great job. 6 hours from the time they arrived to the time they left. They went a little above and beyond as far as moving furniture and things as I had been suffering from a back injury so was very limited in what I could do and prepare. That was a nice touch of customer care. We ran into a couple issues which Thompson's solved quickly with no hesitation. Being we live so far from the store I figured we'd get hit with extra install fees due to distance and travel time. We were not. Being so far away our deposit was taken over the phone and final payment was made a few days after install since it was the day before a holiday weekend which saved us a tremendous amount of time. Very pleased with the whole process and transaction. Our cost was well within range of other vendors and acceptable. Couldn't have asked for anything more during the whole process. We're happy with our choice and would recommend Thompson's to anyone for their flooring needs.

The owners son said he did not want my business and asked me to leave! I checked my records and I show that over the last 36 years of doing business with them I have gave them in excess of $262,000.00 in business installing carpets in all of our homes the we have built, bought, sold or rented out. My wife went into the store and asked to order a special carpet out of a magazine for home theaters. The owner said she could not get that specialized carpet and told my wife she had to order through the company in the magazine. Several months later I went into the store to buy the pad and labor to install the carpet/pad. The owners son (A 50 year old man) went crazy because I was only buying the pad and labor from him and not the carpet. I told him that his Mom said we could only get it through the advertised company in the magazine so I could not buy the carpet from them. He said he did not want my business and asked me to leave. I drove over to another Carpet store on Main street, They were so nice and helpful, the store was very clean with all displays set up nice. They had my carpet installed the next day.
