CH Construction Services Inc

We were referred to CH Construction Services by my husbands coworker after seeing their kitchen and bathroom we were already looking to remodel our upstairs bathroom for more room. We had gotten other estimates we chose CH Construction Services because their pricing was much more transparent. The crew working was very respectful and the woman we worked with was incredibly helpful when it came to choosing tile and the tub. The finished bathroom doesn’t even look like the same space we absolutely love it.

I worked with CH construction to reconstruct my house after I had significant water damage in many areas remediated. This work included a diverse array of jobs including drywall, wall texturing, trim and baseboards, external sheathing, sub-floor, external siding and trim, gutters, and painting. It also included solving some of the original problems that caused the water damage, particularly with improperly installed siding and flashing. The short review is this: CH was an amazing company to work with. CH earned an A+ in all of the categories I am concerned with: how available and responsive they are, how easy the workers, staff and owner are to interact with, and most importantly, the quality of their work. Again, I can say every person and aspect of the job earned an A+. The longer review: CH was very available and prompt in all meetings and correspondence and I was able to quickly schedule a meeting to go over the scope of work we needed. I met with Jose, the owner, Aldo, the project manager and master craftsman, and Ana, the office administrator. At the time I didn’t know how much I would grow to appreciate them all by the end of the project. Jose and Aldo evaluated the job, and I quickly received a quote for the work, which I found reasonable compared to other bids I had. All questions and correspondences were answered no later than the next day, and there were no miscommunications. The contracts and change orders were accurate and quickly generated, in a stark contrast with other companies I’ve dealt with. All of the builders were extremely polite, friendly, and considerate, which was very nice since they had to work inside the house for much of the project. Aldo was always available to explain the work they were doing and address any concerns I had. Beyond that, he would actually thoughtfully investigate the areas I was concerned with, rather than simply brush them off. For instance, I had a window sill that was marginal and I was worried it might have water damage behind it. Aldo removed it and thoroughly checked the area and then put a new sill in. Every day they would carefully clean up the area they were working on and make sure everything was as comfortable as possible for us. And at the end of the work everything was left spotless – no nails or screws or even sawdust were left behind. They vacuumed the interior rooms they worked on and even cleaned the bathroom they were using during the work before leaving. I noticed that a company I hired to do other work had left a small mess after they left – but the CH people kindly cleaned that up as well. We had several phases of work, and between each phase they removed all of the carpet and floor protective covering they had installed so “we would be more comfortable.” The quality of the work was beyond excellent - I couldn’t find a flaw in anything they did. The drywall repairs cannot be seen and the texture is a perfect match and the sections around the windows looked perfect. They put all the window sills, trim, and baseboards back on perfectly and the paint matched exactly as well. But the best work was the exterior siding. We have a complicated area where a gutter, roof, and wall met that was done improperly when the house was originally built. Aldo designed a special piece of flashing and installed it with a complex layering of paper house wrap, sheet metal flashing, rubberized tape flashing, and siding to make the problem spot waterproof. We also decided to paint the entire house, and their paint job was far superior to anything I’ve ever seen. They very meticulously prepared the house, replaced or repaired a number of damaged areas, and put a heavy coat of paint on so it looked better than new. I originally just needed an additional door to the bathroom since I only have one bathroom in a two bedroom home and the only entrance was through the master bedroom the gentleman explained it would be an odd placement because we had a bathtub after I mentioned some leaking from the bathtub he suggested getting rid of it completely after showing me some concepts I agreed. I also needed it to be done fast since it’s the only bathroom. They did not disappoint. It’s my favorite room in the house now.
