The Floor Store

On January 10th, 2024, my husband, Larry, posted a review of the installation of bamboo flooring in the downstairs level of our townhouse and the stair steps going up to the main floor. The review was effusive in its praise of the professionalism and workmanship of the installation crew and the salesperson we worked with. He gave The Floor Store a score of A+++, 12 out of 10. Because of that experience, we never thought twice about using The Floor Store in May/June 2025 to remove the remaining carpeting in our townhouse, which was all on the third floor, and installing bamboo flooring in two bedrooms, a hallway, and the stair steps going down to the main floor. This turned out to be a much more complicated undertaking due to two issues. The first was that the subfloor of one of the bedrooms was seriously not level, requiring removing the subfloor, sanding down some floor joists, replacing the subfloor, and then applying cement as needed to ensure proper leveling of the subfloor in both bedrooms and the hallway. The second issue was the banister along the stairs. The spindles needed to be removed, and we hoped that they would be able to be removed without breakage and be reinserted into the banister railing after new holes were drilled into the new bamboo flooring on the stairs to secure them. It was not an easy job, but the result was perfection! The installation crew was absolutely fantastic, with huge shoutouts to Kevin and Francisco! The Store Manager, Diana, was a pure pleasure to work with, ensuring that our experience in every way met all of our expectations. Given the complexity of the work described above, and our complete and total satisfaction of the end result, we are compelled to give Diana, Kevin, Francisco, and the other members of the crew a rating of AAA++++, a score of 15 out of 10!!

Floor store is the best. Their customer service is top notch and their flooring options are great. Diana the manager was so patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was able to guide me quickly to where the best brands are for my budget and my needs. I am so grateful that i could take large samples back to ponder over as well. I never felt rushed to make a decision and Diana really made sure that I loved my choice. Thank you Floor Store and Diana! I’ll be back!

I recently purchased carpet for my whole house and had a very enjoyable experience with Diana and the terrific installers that came to my house to install the carpet. Re-carpeting a home is a big task and working with Diana and these terrific installers made the process so much easier. Diana was a joy to work with, flexible and accommodating due to my schedule and the weather. The installers were excellent, friendly, efficient, and very skilled. They made a tough process much much easier!
