UPDATE 2/2023 - Eddie Estrada Flooring replaced the Carpet Cave floor and were great! (See Photos) Vinyl floor buckled and unglued from high moisture. Carpet Cave installer didn’t test for moisture or treat the concrete. I filed a home insurance claim. American Leak Detection didn’t find a leak and listed the cause of damage as improper flooring installation. Claim was therefore denied. I asked Carpet Cave to reinstall with proper moisture treatment since the leak detection determined improper installation. Carpet Cave says I have a leak. My floor planks lift right up. I’m looking at filing a claim in court and it’s a lot of legwork. During the inspection by Jean and manufacturer rep, the rep asked Jean if Jaime, the installer had performed a moisture test. Jean said he didn’t know and had no way of verifying because of the fire that destroyed his business. My wife recalls asking Jaime to do the moisture test before installation and Jaime declined, explaining that due to the house’s recent construction it wouldn’t need moisture treatment. Jean and the rep explained that because I had carpet and tile for the 12 years since the home was built it would have breathed better than laminate and therefore I would not have detected excess moisture. I have not seen any record of a moisture test done before Carpet Cave’s installion by Jaime. I paid Eddie Estrada Flooring to fix the mess. They did a great job! (See photos)

I purchased some excellent (and expensive) carpeting and Carpet Cave gave me a good price. Unfortunately, the remodel job going on in my house dragged out for months and Carpet Cave was quite nice about holding on to the carpeting for me. Though I still LOVE the carpeting, the installers placed a seam not only in the hallway (never have I had a carpet seam in the hallway) but smack in front of the hallway exit door that contains a dog door - so the light coming in shines directly on a crooked seam. Bottom line, I would purchase the carpet again. I do love it and Carpet Cave gave me a good price on expensive carpeting. Still, the crooked seam in the hallway is what draws the eye. I would buy from Carpet Cave again but perhaps find a different installer. EDIT: Since my initial review, I have found that the installers managed to deeply gouge the bedroom wall, the door to a built-in cabinet, and one of my living room end tables in two places, thus doing more damage than the install was worth. The wall is fixable without much trouble. The cabinet door and end table will require refinishing, the cabinet door being one of a wall of living room cabinets. And there remains the ugly and completely unnecessary seam that is smack in the middle of the hallway. I still love the carpet. The install is a disaster.

Jean is the best! He took great care of my ageing parents and the service was incredible. The luxury vinyl floors are beautiful and they are so happy. The quality is much better than any of the alternatives that we had considered and he even beat all the competitors on price. Very satisfied!
