Erol and his team at North Berkeley Design & Construction did exceptional work: Custom fence with matching gates, a porch railing with integrated privacy screen, and a dry stack stone retaining wall. Every element came out beautifully. What set Erol apart was that his bar for quality and perfectionism matched mine. I come in with strong opinions and a high aesthetic standard. Rather than just executing my vision, he presented his own ideas and insight, which took it to the next level. Learning to trust his judgment was one of the best decisions I made on this project. The craftsmanship from his crew is truly phenomenal. The carpentry in particular is the kind of work that's hard to find. Precise, considered, and built to last. Communication throughout was clear and professional, and the whole experience felt genuinely collaborative. Highly recommend Erol for anyone who wants a designer and contractor who cares as much (if not more) about the result as you do.

Erol is an artistic genius, a very unique talent who can visualize the ultimate result and also manage the fine details. He is intensely perfectionistic in the best possible way. He took our vague idea and transformed our entire property, front and back, into a magical space. There were so many decisions along the way, big and small where I now, after some months, appreciate how right Erol was in his decisions and suggestions. He has a hard-working, dedicated team who have been with him for many years. They are very skilled and took a great deal of care in keeping things clean and cared for as the work went along. Working with Erol and his team was a very satisfying experience in good design, good work, with people who care about their product.

Erol and his team greatly exceeded our expectations for our driveway gate. Erol truly cares about perfecting his craft - it's clear he's a skilled designer and managed the work to completion flawlessly. He and his team managed the process end to end, and required no intervention from us other than a few simple decisions on color options that Erol thought through. On top of all of that, they completed the project within project and early!
